The Research Associate is responsible for collecting data and performing procedures for In-Life studies related to preclinical research. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for science, enjoy working with animals, and have a strong work ethic. Will work closely with other team members to effectively and efficiently produce verifiable results in a laboratory setting.

Requirements for this position include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis, as well as work rotating weekends and holidays. Many shifts are available, including swing shifts starting after 3pm.

Responsibilities include:
•Maintain Good Laboratory Practices; Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
•Assist with and independently perform technical, pre-clinical procedures on non-human primates to include dosing, drawing blood, collecting urine samples, placing catheters, and preparing for surgery.
•Will monitor and observe animal behavior; Set up and operate equipment needed to collect data on laboratory animals (e.g. ECG, BP, ERG, ect…).
•May assist with or perform surgeries, depending on experience/tenure level.

Qualifications
•BS degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. animal science, zoology, biology, etc) and 6 months relevant experience.
OR
•High school diploma/GED with 2+ years of veterinary clinic experience or 2+ years of relevant experience.
