Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis
Chief Executive Officer
Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis is a Waltham, MA based national nonprofit organization dedicated to curing MS by determining its causes. Accelerated Cure Project's main effort is the creation of a large-scale, multidisciplinary MS Repository of blood samples and data from people with MS and other demyelinating diseases and matched controls. These samples are made available to researchers investigating the causes of MS. In exchange for access to the repository, researchers agree to return the data they generate from the samples so that results from disparate experiments can be combined and shared with other researchers.

Responsibilities
Fundraising and Partnerships
•In collaboration with the Board and staff, create a fundraising strategy to expand the profile and resources of the Accelerated Cure Project
•Aggressively lead the implementation of the fundraising strategy by cultivating additional corporate and foundation sponsors, individual donors as well as state and federal funding sources
•Become knowledgeable on the science and technology supporting the work of the Accelerated Cure Project and be able to articulate convincingly the vision and direction of Accelerated Cure Project
•Spearhead the expansion of the marketing strategy and brand awareness
•Lead, manage and present at marketing and educational events with donors, partners and the MS community
Strategic Planning and Operations
•Develop, present and implement strategic and operational plans
•Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the Board and ensure open communication about the measurement of financial, programmatic and impact performance against stated milestones and goals
•Oversee fiscal and budgeting activities as well as developing metrics against strategic plans
•Oversee Human Resource management strategies, including performance enhancement, professional development, performance review and employee development and satisfaction
Professional Qualifications
•10+ years of successful management experience, ideally with executive experience in a start-up environment
•Significant fundraising and corporate development accomplishments
•Strong track record of financial forecasting and management
